The current Slovak-Ukrainian Cross-border Cooperation Strategy before the year 2020 is the result of a project labelled “Slovak-Ukrainian Cultural Centre – establishing and strengthening of Presov self-governing region and Zakarpattya region” supported by the EU and ENPI Hungary-Slovakia-Romania-Ukraine Cross-border Cooperation Programme. The aim of the Strategy proposal is to form the basis for further planning the development of cross-border cooperation between Zakarpattya and the regional local governments of Slovakia – i.e. the Presov and Kosice self-governing regions.
